Generation

According to ANEEL, the National Electric Energy Agency, hydraulic power generation units electricity can be classified as follows: Small Hydroelectric Power Plant (SHP): Characterized by having installed power between 1 MW and 30 MW. Hydroelectric Power Plant (UHE): Characterized by having installed power greater than 30 MW.

Brennand Energia has ten SHPs (Small Hydroelectric Power Plants) in operation, totaling 206 MW of capacity installed. These plants together generate around 1.3 million MWh, on average, per year in clean energy, equivalent to the average consumption of 282 thousand Brazilian families. The Company also has fifteen projects in development of a hydraulic source in the states of Mato Grosso, Paraná and Rio Grande do Sul, with partners external sources, totaling 358 MW, 60% of which is owned by Brennand Energia (215 MW).

The force of the winds became a strong alternative for the generation of clean energy. Harnessing wind potential Northeast of Brazil, Brennand Energia has invested heavily in the development of projects and, today, has ten wind farms in operation, which generate an average of 1.2 million MWh annually. This equates to consumption average of 260 thousand Brazilian families. In 2022, two new plants has started operating, expanding capacity installed wind farms from the current to 322 MW. In addition Furthermore, faithful to its commitment to the sustainable development of Brazil, the Company has a significant portfolio of wind projects in the State of Bahia, in different stages of development, with quality winds exceptional, being part of these projects in conditions of implantation.
