ENERGY TRADING

Brennand Energia trades energy from various renewable sources, produced by its plants, in two environments:

ACR (Regulated Contracting Environment) – Through long-term energy contacts signed with distributors following auctions held by ANEEL (the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency) and CCEE (the Chamber for the Commercialization of Electrical Energy).

ACL (Free Contracting Environment) - Through bilateral contracts for conventional or incentivized energy, freely negotiated in the short, medium, and long terms, among market companies in the following modes:

WHOLESALE

In this mode, energy is traded directly to a generator, trader or consumer company that already has a relationship with CCEE, that is, agents in the energy market. This is the most traditional mode in the market and is usually recommended for companies experienced in energy trading.

RETAIL

This mode was created to simplify market operations, reducing bureaucracy since consumers do not need to become CCEE agents.

With this approach, Brennand Energia, through its Retail Trading arm, can represent consumers with contracted demands below 500 kW, who can only migrate to ACL through this mode. Additionally, the company can also serve free, special consumers, and generators already in the market.
