The Planalto SHP is located on the River Aporé, in the municipality of Aporé, Goiás State. It was commissioned in July 2009 and is connected to the Southeast/Central West regional market. This plant is linked to the company Planalto Energética S.A., a subsidiary of Brennand Energia S.A.
