WIND POWER
The power of the wind has become an important alternative in the generation of clean energy. Taking advantage of the favorable wind potential of Northeast Brazil, Brennand Energia has invested heavily in the development of projects and currently has eight wind farms (WFs) in operation. Together they generate an average of 1.2 million MWh annually, which is equivalent to the average consumption of 260 thousand Brazilian families. In 2022, two new wind farms has commissioned, expanding total installed power to 322 MW. Additionally, in its faithful commitment to the sustainable development of Brazil, the Company owns a major portfolio of wind power projects in the State of Bahia, where the winds are of exceptional quality. At various stages of development, some of these projects are ready for construction.
