Brennand Energia has thirteen hydroelectric plants, 2 (two) hydroelectric power plants and 11 (eleven) small hydroelectric plants with installed capacity of 288MW and a dam in construction (21 MW).
History
The Brennand Group started its business activities more than 80 years ago producing sugar and alcohol. In the 1950s, the Group began diversifying and expanding its operations and, by the 1990s, its business units included ceramics, glass and cement with plants in the states of Goiás, Paraíba and Alagoas.
